Nach den ersten Namen für das Guitar Camp auf der Frankfurter Musikmesse stehen nun auch die ersten Schlagzeuger für 2018 fest: Ash Soan (Adele), Karl Brazil (Robbie Williams, James Blunt), Ralf Gustke (Söhne Mannheims) und Patrick Metzger (Beatrice Egli Tour) werden das Drums Camp anführen.
Ash Soan

With his grooves, Ash Soan has been the driving force behind over 50 hit albums by, inter alia, Adele, Cher, Seal, Billy Idol, James Morrison, Celine Dion and Ronan Keating. Born in the south of England, Soan is more in demand than virtually any other drummer in the world.
Karl Brazil

Back in Frankfurt – only two days after accompanying megastar James Blunt on his ‘The Afterlove Tour’ of Asia. For the first time running, Karl Brazil will rock the Musikmesse Drum Camp. Top musicians including Robbie Williams, Elton John and Christina Aguilera rely on the sophisticated playing of the UK-born drummer, both on the stage and in the studio.
Ralf Gustke

For many years, he was a permanent member of Germany’s ‘Söhne Mannheims’ band. He was also the musical director for several tours by soul singer Xavier Naidoo. The reference list of the Heidelberg-born drummer is long and includes live and session work with national and international artists such as Gianna Nanini, Schiller and Nena.
Patrick Metzger

Born in Mannheim, Patrick Metzger tours the whole German-speaking region as a highly regarded drum coach and, since 2013, has also been laying down the rhythm in Beatrice Egli’s band. He has also played with international artists such as Bobby Kimball, Tina Turner and Chris de Burgh.

Mittelpunkt des Camps ist die „Sweat, Blood and Tears Box“: In der intimen, schalldichten Kabine kommen Sie Top-Musikern näher als bei jedem Konzert und können ihnen buchstäblich auf die Finger schauen. Täglich können Sie Stars der Drummer Garde an ihren Original-Instrumenten und Setups live erleben.
Nach den Performances stehen die Musiker für Fragen zu ihren Sets und Techniken sowie für Autogramme und Fotos zur Verfügung.
Darüber hinaus wird auch das Guitar Camp, das tägliche Auftritte international bekannter Gitarristen bietet, im kommenden Jahr fortgesetzt.
